Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Tyler, 62, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He was born on July 25, 1962, in Waterloo, the son of Carl and Mary Martinez Tyler. Larry graduated from Columbus High School in 1980 and married Annette "Annie" Abbott on July 7, 1984. The couple was blessed with two children. Larry owned Larry's Auto Repair and Custom Exhaust in Hudson for many years.

Larry loved cars and everything about them. He enjoyed racing and owned multiple classic cars, his favorites being a Mustang fastback and a Camaro. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Heritage in the hills of NE Iowa and SW Wisconsin. Larry loved to fish, especially for bass, panfish and walleye. He and Annie enjoyed spending time on the Mississippi River at their trailer in Lansing, IA. He enjoyed feeding the squirrels at his home. Even though he loved all these things, his love for his grandchildren was greater. He loved spending time with them and taking them for a ride on the golf cart or even letting them drive.

Larry is survived by his wife who was the love of his life for 40 years, Annie, of Waterloo, children Michele Tyler and her daughter Harper of Waverly and Michael Tyler and his son Owen of New Hartford, brothers Greg (Monica) Tyler of Blue Earth, MN, Carl (Sue) Tyler III of Elk Run Heights, and Joe Tyler of Waterloo, sister Wendy (Albert) Sundt of Washburn, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Locke on 4th Street, 1519 W 4th, from 5-7 PM with a time of sharing at 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions should be directed to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lockefuneralservices.com.
