Darren W. Martin, 58, of Waterloo, died on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City after a lengthy and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born January 15, 1966, in Charles City, the son of Clarence William "Bill" Jr., and Mary (Mehmen) Martin. He graduated from Waterloo Central High School in 1984.

Darren married Tami Jo Hall on May 2, 2015, in Waterloo. He worked many jobs over the years, including most recently as a CNC operator at Con-Trol in Waterloo. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and father-in-law, Gary Anderson.
