Condolences

Dawn, Larry, Tina and families, we are heartbroken at Don's passing. He was probably the best neighbor you could ever ask for and we so enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to his stories. We are so very sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.

From the summer 1977 and for one year I stayed with the Ticknor Family as an exchange student. I had a very nice year with that very active family. In 2005 I visited again for a couple of weeks and we kept in contact since - mostly Helen, Dawn and me. After Helen passed, Don and I had a lot of nice funny talks - via Facetime. Talks about almost everything - I will miss Don and our talks very much. Luckily I can continue with Tina, Dawn and family. You are in my thoughts. Jake

Wow where do I begin? From my arriving to the tucked away Neighborhood I was greeted by the amazing Mr. And Mrs. Ticknor. We became close neighbors and always had each other's back We lost Miss Cindy first and this devasted this couple. Through a great friendship I enjoyed helping Don And Helen work through their great loss. Next we lost Helen and what a tough journey this was for the great Ticknor family. I was next to loose my beloved husband. Don and Tina gave me their love and support. We have laughed, cried, watched seasons change but our friendship continued every day. God Bless the Ticknors today. May their grief be consoled by heart warming memories. Rip dear Don,the garden will be a lonely place to visit. Miss ya already!!

Don was indeed a very kind and caring human being. The family can be very helpful proud for all the things Don stood for! If we could measure up to half of what he did, then he certainly laid a solid foundation for us to follow. Without question Don will be sorely missed. But his spirit will always be with his family! I’m glad I had the opportunity to know Don as a friend and call him a fellow Comrade.
