Daniel, I knew him as hungry charlie was a great friend of mine that I meet a little while ago when I was working at the store next to his hungry charlie and I am glad that I met him and he will be miss by a lot of friends and family

I met him a couple of years ago when he opened up the store on 4th street. I was next door with the farmers market pop-up store with my wife. He always had great food and always was cheerful with the customers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I wish I knew you better and longer than I did sir. But you did something for me at your brothers remembrance. That I will never forget.For that, I'm eternally grateful. A testament to the wonderful Person you are. Safe travels my friend. I hope to get that same bear hug when next we meet.

I did not know Daniel but my dear granddaughter, Kayla did and loved him dearly. Anyone who she cherished as a friend has got to have been a special person. God bless you 🙏🏻

I was friends with Daniel in high-school. We played football together and had a lot in common. I'll never forget one day in practice the coach called a play where he was pulling down the line and blocking me at defensive end. We were friends so Daniel pulled up and just gave me a little shove. The coach lost his mind and yelled at us then made us rerun the play. The next thing I remember was looking up at my feet. It was like getting hit by a truck. Daniel was a big strong Man but he was more than that. He was a good Person with a kind heart. I'll never forget him or Randall. Rest easy Daniel.

I met Dan for 1st & only time 1-28-2025. I had just had my 2nd round of chemo & my daughter & I decided to eat lunch at Hungry Charlie’s. Daniel greeted us, we talked about our cancer journey. What an optimistic man he was! I am so glad God led me to that meeting that day! He truly made a difference in the world!

When I first arrived in Watertown, your kindness was one of the earliest gifts that made me feel truly welcomed. I’ll never forget how, on that very first day of football practice, you invited me to join a wing-eating competition at Ponderosa—a gesture that instantly made me feel like I belonged. You were a steadfast friend, someone whose strength and resilience shone brightly, even in tough times. Though life has carried us on different paths since then, I’ve always admired how you met challenges with grace, turning adversity into growth without losing the warmth and spirit that defined you. While your journey here has ended, the love and light you shared remain alive in the hearts of those who knew you. Your memory will always be a gentle reminder of kindness, courage, and the quiet power of a generous soul. You are deeply missed and forever cherished.
