Youngor Zarbue Zayzay Dunn was born at the ELWA Hospital in Monrovia on September 17, 1977 on to the union of Mr. William J. Zayzay, Sr. and Ms. Kolu Lorpu Flomo. She began her primary education in 1981 at the Soul Clinic Mission, Paynesville. She later matriculated with her siblings Kolu, Hellen, and Marcus at the George K. Duyan School on the Duport Road, Paynesville in 1984.

In 1988, Youngor attended the World Wide Mission School up to 1990 at which time Liberia witnessed the surfacing of the civil war. This war forced some of the family members in Lofa County, Liberia in 1990, leaving behind her father Mr. Zayzay, Sr. Youngor and her sisters Raliet and Hellen were forced to take refuge in Macenta, the Republic of Guinea in 1992. They were later joined by their Brother William and Hon. Peter F. Zaizay and Family. Her father Mr. William J. Zayzay, Sr. predeceased her in 1993 during Liberia Civil Conflict.

In Macenta, Guinea, Youngor continued her elementary studies at the then Refugee school established by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) through support from the United Nation High Commission on Refugees (UNHCR). Upon completion of the elementary education, Youngor continued her Junior High School studies under the same refugee school program at the Tepe Refugee School where she completed the Junior High school agenda in 1996.

In 1997, Youngor after some halts in the war, moved to Gbarnga, Liberia and attended the William V. S. Tubman Gray United Methodist School graduating in 1998 with a High School Diploma.

Youngor was a member of the Paynesville Assembly of God Mission Church. She met her husband in early 2001 and on November 26, 2005 wedding vows were exchanged. Not being contented with a high school education, Youngor in the same year of 2005, matriculated at the University of Liberia. As determined as she was, Youngor graduated from the University of Liberia in 2013 with a BA Degree in Sociology.

In September of 2012, Youngor travelled to the United States of America with her oldest daughter, Ruth Gifty Dunn. Settling in Waterloo, Iowa with her family, Youngor quickly became well-liked and made many friends. Youngor encouraged her family to join the Cedar Valley Community Church where they worshipped regularly. Youngor was a member of the United Family Association and served as financial secretary. While in Waterloo, Youngor worked at Tyson Fresh Meats, Hilton Garden Inn, Master Brand Cabinets/ Omega, the Isle Casino and EPI (Exceptional Persons, Inc.). Youngor became a citizen of the USA on August 12, 2016.

She and her husband were blessed in 2015 with another child Zeela Benetta Dunn. Youngor died on October 5, 2016.

In addition to her loving husband, Spencer M. Dunn, and daughters Ruth and Zeela, she leaves to mourn her loss: her mother, Ma Kolu Flomo Zayzay; her brothers: Hon. Peter F. Zaizay, William, Marcus, Arthur, and Lavele. She also leaves to mourn her sisters: Raliet, Sianeh Zayzay-Kolubah, Kolu, Hellen, Emma, Adella, Yassah, and Cecelia Kollie of the USA. Youngor also leaves to mourn her sister-in-law, Makula Zayzay, along with children her lovely niece Bella and Hope Zaizay. Also mourning her loss are her in-laws, Chapman and Josephine Junius, Mercy, Irene, Cerue, Jestina, Joseph, Edward, Gloria, and Grandma Catherine. Youngor is also survived by her uncles, Nathaniel and Alex. She leaves to also mourn her aunties, Mama Garmai, Aunty Moi-youngor, and not forgetting several cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends, and loved ones. A host of close friends in the USA and Liberia to include Gloria, Motemah, Sis. Janjai, Maimah, Juliet, Angie, Ade, her playma Comfort and the Liberian Community in Waterloo.
