William “Bill” Allen Neith Jr. Jr.

William A. “Bill” Neith Jr. 85, of Waterloo, died Friday, February 20, 2026, at UPH Allen Hospital. He was born July 20, 1940, in Waterloo, son of William Allen and Jennie Dora (Mahanna) Neith. He graduated from East High School in 1959. Bill married Mary Beth Davis on March 30, 1963, in Alpha. She died February 17, 2000.

Bill worked at Viking Pump in Cedar Falls and retired as the Lead Supervisor. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church for over 30 years and was later a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

His hobbies included fly fishing the trout streams of NE Iowa, duck hunting, trap shooting, and auto repairs. He was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his two daughters: Shelly (Tracey) Clyde of Glendale, KY and Sheila (Curt) Wieland of Burton, WI, granddaughters: Erica Collins and Yu Meng Clyde, grandsons: Brandon Clyde, Bowen Clyde, and Jaden Wieland, step-granddaughters: Samantha (Donald) Clauer, Alex (Jason) Taylor and, Makenzie Wieland, step-greatgrandchildren: Henry and Debra Clauer, and a brother in law Donald Wurtz.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother in infancy, three sisters and their husbands: Norma (Duane) Cummings, Helen (Daniel) Haberstitch, and Mary Lou “Rigg” Wurtz, sisters in law and their husbands: Carlene (Don) Meier, Laura Ann (Lavoy) Reynolds, Margaret (Art) Kelly, brother-in-law Alan Davis, and parents in law Ruth and William Davis.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, at 11:00AM, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Memorials to Cedar Bend Humane Society https://www.cedarbendhumane.org/donation
