Virginia “Ginny” Peverill

Virginia "Ginny" Peverill, 80, of Waterloo, IA, died on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her son's home in Urbana, IA.

Ginny was born on May 29, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Ralph and Ruth Ebaugh Miller, and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1962.

She married Larry Lawrence; they later divorced. She married Perry Davis and later divorced. Ginny married Charles Peverill on March 9, 1991, in Nashua, Iowa; he preceded her in death on January 4, 2019.

She was an Administrative Assistant for many years including Bill Collwell, Rath Packing Co., Black Hawk County Courthouse and HyVee on Logan (one of her favorite jobs). She retired in 2022.

She was a member of Waterloo Eagles Club. Ginny was a well-known dart player and played in many leagues over the years. She enjoyed her friends at the Eagles Club and Park Road Inn. She was a people person who enjoyed talking with others along with cooking and entertaining. Ginny loved her sweets, especially pies. She was a true, die-hard Cubs fan.

Ginny is survived by her son Brian (Julie) Lawrence of Urbana; daughter Angie Galbreath of Iowa City; 7 grandchildren: Jermaine, Roosevelt, Jacob, Zach, Paige, Kelsey, and Justin; and sister, Carol Finger of Elk Run Heights, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Toby Lawrence; grandson Adam Lawrence; and brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Miller.

Memorial Services: 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Locke on 4th, Waterloo.

Visitation: for an hour before services at the funeral home.

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls.
