Todd Alan Isaacson

July 3, 1948 October 28, 2024

Todd Alan Isaacson, 76, of Waterloo, died Monday, October 28, 2024, while a resident of Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls. He was born on July 3, 1948, in Moline, IL, the son of Harvey and Muriel Anderson Isaacson. He married Debra Ishman on June 13, 1981, and the couple was blessed with one son. Todd worked as a draftsman for Deere and Co. in Waterloo.

Todd loved nature. He enjoyed his dogs, mechanical engineering and science. Todd loved to sing in the choir at his church and is remembered as having a beautiful voice. A tinkerer at heart, he would try to rebuild something better than it was before. As a free spirit, Todd enjoyed camping and even lived for a while in the back of a semi-truck he owned. Spending time with his son, Kent, was his passion and he enjoyed watching Kent's various sporting activities. Todd was a licensed Ham Radio operator and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waterloo and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Todd is survived by his wife, Debra, of Waterloo; son Kent of Waterloo; sister Sharon Isaacson of Bettendorf; and mother-in-law Bonnie Ishman of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by brother Norman and sisters Lynn and Lori Isaacson.
