Theodore “Ted” Frances VanEe

Theodore F. VanEe, 78, of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Unity Point-Allen Hospital.

Ted was born on May 17, 1947, in Waterloo, to Walter F. and Loretta I. (Mullen) VanEe. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1966. Ted married Marjorie A. Buhr on April 7, 1973, Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Ted worked for John Deere in various capacities, retiring in 2004 after 31 years of service. Ted and Marjorie enjoyed traveling and going to the Casinos. Often described as a lumberjack by his family, Ted loved being outside in his backyard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Chuck, Tom, and Dan VanEe, and beloved dog, buddy.

Ted is survived by his wife, Marjorie VanEe, of Waterloo; sons, Curtis (Kerri) VanEe of Waverly, and Duane VanEe of Waterloo; siblings, Terry (Barb Erickson) VanEe of Waterloo, Joe (Sue Bliss) VanEe of Hillsboro, OR, Terese (Ken) Kremer of Cedar Falls, and Rochelle VanEe of Waterloo, 2 grandsons, Paxton and Brecken VanEe, and his grand pup, Bentley.

Visitation: Family to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Locke Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave, Waterloo.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery-Waterloo.
