Taylor Dee Baker

Taylor D. Baker, 85, of Waterloo, IA, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born on November 16, 1940, in Waterloo, son of Dallas and Margaret Foster Baker.

Taylor graduated from high school in Los Angeles and earned his Associates degree from Pomona Community College.

He married Martha Arend; she died February 11, 2025.

Taylor served in the United States Air Force, from 1961 to 1964, receiving an honorable discharge.

He worked at Chamberlain Mfg Corp and was a bus driver for a couple years. He worked at John Deere for several years as a Tool and Die Maker.

He loved to fish, was an avid motorcyclist, and enjoyed his muscle car. He loved flying and owned a couple model 172 Cessna airplanes.

Taylor is survived by his sister, Mardell Baker of Lebanon, OR, and friends, Stan and Espie Eastman of Waterloo.

He is preceded in death by parents and wife, Martha.

There will be no services. Inurnment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls, IA
