Stewart Preston Wright, 54, of Evansdale, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana, from a heart attack.

He was born August 31, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Glenn A. and Marlene Trierweiler Wright. Stewart married Rita Buckmeier in 1988 and they later divorced.

Stewart held a job as a bartender, cooked for a traveling carnival, cut wood for a pulp factory and worked at Olin Mills in Virginia, and worked as a photographer at Crown Studios in Des Moines, all of which founded his love for traveling. Stewart worked for Delta Industries, Roskamp, and Tyson before becoming an over-the-road truck driver for Schneider National. He loved his job and enjoyed sharing stores. He was a proud alumni of the Royals and Royal Chevalier Drum and Bugle Corp.

Survived by his mother, Marlene; son, Preston Michael of Cedar Falls; daughter, Lorraine Katheryn of Evansdale; son, Jacob Preston of Evansdale; two granddaughters, Emma and Ameala; sister, Ruth (Joey) Prudhome of Natchitoches, Louisiana; sister, Phyllis (Mike) Cuvelier of Cedar Falls; sister, Teresa (Al) Hickok of Shereville, Indiana; sister, Brenda Wright of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sister, Angie (Ken) Porter of Waterloo; sister, Kristine (Michael) Wright of Waterloo; brother, Paul (Becky) Wright of Evansdale; brother, Starrett Wright of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Stewart is preceded in death by his father and brother, Scott E. Wright.
