Stanley Carl Moser

Stanley Carl Moser, 85, of Hudson, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at his home. He was born October 15, 1933, in Waterloo, the son of Carl Joy and Lucia Johnson Moser.

Stan graduated from Waterloo West High School and attended Iowa State University. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He married Mary Lillian Sunness on June 4, 1967 in Hudson; she preceded him in death March 27, 2016.

He farmed in the Hudson area and raised livestock.

Stan was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of Hudson Amvets Post #82, Waterloo Technical Society, and was active in local organizations.

Stan loved being outdoors, farming, forestry, planting trees, and hunting. He enjoyed going for a drive and attending auctions.

He is survived by a son, Timothy of Hudson; a daughter, Christa (Steve) Welsh of Maple Grove‚ MN; three grandchildren: Jacob, Nicholas, and Erica Welsh; and two sisters, Karen (Bill) Eastman of Arizona and Nancy (Rick) Heacock of Cedar Rapids.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a brother, Gordon.
