Shawn Paul Kolthoff

Shawn P. Kolthoff, 70, of Dunkerton, IA, formerly of Waterloo, died at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital on Thursday, May 30, 2019 of complications of cancer.

He was born December 28, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Paul J. and Jeanette F. Lehman Kolthoff and graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1967.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving an honorable discharge.

Shawn married Kathy McKilligan; they were later divorced.

He worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp. until its closing and then at John Deere until retirement.

He is survived by his son, Jon Kolthoff of Waterloo.

Shawn is preceded in death by his parents.
