Sharon K Nienkark

Sharon K. Nienkark, 80, of Waterloo, IA., died Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Deery Suites of the Western Home Communities of natural causes.

Sharon was born November 27, 1938 in Waterloo, IA., the daughter of Harold Stoddard and Iva Juanita Bingham Houck. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1956. She married Elmer W. Nienkark on December 31, 1964 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

Sharon worked at Albee Printing Co and later for John Deere retiring in 1998.

Sharon was Past Secretary Polka Club of Iowa from 1974 to 1978, Cub Scout Den Mother from 1967 to 1972, active with nursing home musical group performances.

Sharon is survived by her husband Elmer of Waterloo; two sons, Jeffrey (Jeannine) Reed of Harrison‚ AR., and Dennis (Joni) Niedert of Mesa‚ AZ.; step-sons, Gary Nienkark of Waterloo, and Jim (Kathie) Nienkark of Cedar Falls; step-daughter Peg (Gary) Liebsch of Waverly; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Eldridge of Fremont‚ NE., and Charli (Bruce) Pals of Waterloo; and one brother Al (Lynn) Houck of Hot Springs Village‚ AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Kenneth Eldridge.
