Scott Allen Steffen

Scott Steffen, 56, of Mount Auburn, Iowa died unexpectedly Saturday, February 24,2024 at his home in Mount Auburn.

Scott was born on August 19,1967 in Waterloo, the son of James and Lynda (Hansen) Steffen. Scott graduated from Denver High School with the class of 1985.

Scott Joined the United States Marine Corps in 1988. He retired after 21 years as a decorated Gunnery Sergeant in 2009.

Scott was united in Marriage with Rebecca Stradley on June 22,1991. They spent the last 33 years loving each other. On December 5,1994 Scott and Becky had a beautiful baby girl Andrea.

Scott enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling the world with the USMC, fishing, hunting, playing poker, the occasional moonshining, and trips to casinos.

Scott is survived by his mother, Lynda; wife, Becky; daughter, Andrea; two brothers, John and Kelly Steffen; and a sister, Chris Kleinschmidt.

He was preceded in death by his father James Steffen.

Scotts final act of service was being a donor through Iowa Donor Network.

A family directed celebration of life will be held at a later date.
