Sally #N/A Gates

Sally M. Gates, 65, of Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Cedar River Towers and 519 Cottage St. in Waterloo, died at Parkview on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 14, 1941, in Waterloo, daughter of Clifford and Elsie Lloyd Gates.

She was a member of Salvation Army for many years. During her time at Cedar River Towers, she delivered Meals on Wheels. She especially enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews and watching TV.

She is survived by eight brothers: Clifford Gates of Waterloo, LaVerne (Jeanette) Gates of Hanover, Pennsylvania; Don (Shirley) Gates of Aurora, Missouri; G. W. “Bill” and (K. L. Robinson) Gates of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Kenny Gates of Waterloo; Ronnie Gates of Waterloo; Larry (Annie) Gates of Waterloo; Dennis Gates of Waterloo; four sisters: Betty (Art) Englehardt of Waterloo; Barbara Davis of Waterloo; Joan Hanley of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Karen Moore of Waterloo; special friend Mark Campbell of Waterloo, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Gary, Robert, and John, and sister LaVonne Rochholz.
