Ruth Elizabeth Randall

Ruth Elizabeth Schulz Randall, 85, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022, while a patient at Unity Point Allen Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1937, the daughter of Robert Richard and Hedwig "Hattie" Ernestine Voelker Schulz, in New Hampton, Iowa. Ruth married Kenneth R. Randall on October 28, 1955, at Boyd Lutheran Church in Boyd, Iowa. Kenny died on April 7, 2004.

Ruth managed the cafeteria at John Deere, where she retired in 1999. She also served as the head waitress at Porky's Red Carpet from 1961-1991. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Waterloo and was active with Tabitha Quilters at her church. Ruth was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club and enjoyed fishing, baseball and casino gambling. She also enjoyed gardening and was passionate about her family.

Ruth is survived by her son, Randy (Sue) Randall, of Fredericksburg, IA; daughter, Kathy Robbins of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren Heidi (Jacob) Mitchell of Winterset, IA, Kayla (Chris) Clark of Burnsville, MN, Josh (Dawn) Randall) of Crystal Lake, IL, Amanda (Alex) Hajek of Marion, IA, Tyler (Catherine) Robbins of Pflugerville, TX, and Austin (Kayla) Robbins of Round Rock, TX; ten great-grandchildren (with one soon to arrive); a sister, Arlene Dietz of Mason City, IA, son-in-law, Bill Wente and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Karen Wente; son-in-law, Mark Robbins; brothers, Albert, Otto, Walter, Paul, John and Erwin Schulz; and sisters, Violet Pavalec and Viola Joachim.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 420 Harwood Ave, Waterloo, IA at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Locke on 4th Street, 1519 W. 4th Street, Waterloo, IA from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
