Russell John Miller

Russell John Miller, 64, of Waterloo, passed away surrounded by his family at his daughter's residence on Friday, February 14, 2025, under Iowa River Hospice Care. He was born October 4, 1960, to Melva Gay Miller and Harry Miller.

He married Angela Kral in 1982, they divorced in 1987. He then married Kiana Mathes in 1988, they divorced in 1992. Russell joined the Army in 1982 and served until 1985. He was stationed in Korea and Louisiana as a diesel mechanic. He worked most of his adult life driving semis. He later delivered the Waterloo Courier with his fiancé Marlys Gosse until she passed away in 2015.

Russell is survived by his two daughters, Chay Lynne (Darin) Sauer of Tama, and Brandi (Mark) Speicher of Waterloo; his son Lawrence Miller of Waterloo; his Aunt, Cheryl (Ted) Ostrowski of Cedar Falls; sister Lynne (Mike) Miller of Waterloo; brother Scott (Anna) Miller of La Porte City; ten grandkids and bonus grandkids; three nephews; two nieces; and his two toy poodles Cinnamon and Max.

Celebration of Life will take place Monday February 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, with visitation from 10-11:00 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family. Please visit lockefuneralservices.com to offer your condolences.
