Robert Leroy Price

Robert "Bob" Price, 76, of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home in Waterloo, while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Bob was born on January 5, 1947, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Virgil Gerald and Dorothy (Sattizhan) Price. Bob graduated from Independence High School and furthered his degree, attending the University of Iowa, studying history. Bob became a journeyman electrician, working for Community Electric in Waterloo for 22 years, retiring in 2013.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. In his earlier years, he was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Independence.

He was the cherished husband of Sandra of Waterloo; beloved father of Marsha (Victor) Arango of Land O Lakes, FL, Eric (Chasity) Price of Urbandale, and Rachel (John) Baker of San Antonio, TX; 18 grandchildren, Anthony, Alissa, Daniel, Romi, Richard, Olivia, Johnny, Matt, Greg, Tia, Bethany, Ariel, Colin, Logan, Blaine, Ashton, Greyson and Brooks; great-grandchildren Mabry, Nyle, Isaac, Daizie, Zamira, Zelda, Layla and Atreus; sisters Betty Donnan, Jean (Jim) Brockling, both of Independence, and Linda (Paul) Lee of Vinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Brian Price; brother Dave and sister Mary.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 17th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Locke at Tower Park. Inurnment will be held privately by the family, at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
