Robert G. Goodrich, 80, of Hayward, WI, formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.
Bob was born on May 6, 1945, in Waterloo, to George R. and Mabel R. (Dawson) Goodrich. He graduated from East High School in 1963. He married Dianne Goodrich; they later divorced. Bob married Carol Ann Sink on May 24, 1985, in Waterloo; she preceded him in death on January 7, 2020.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 until 1969. He spent his career working as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, retiring on December 31, 2000.
Being outdoors was where Bob was happiest, whether it was casting a pole, swinging a golf club, or painting, he found joy basking in the sunshine and being surrounded by nature. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his humor and warm heart-he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Ralph Arenholz.
Bob is survived by his sons, Brandon (Jennifer) Goodrich and Zachary (Janette) Junge both of Waterloo, and Joshua Junge of Cedar Falls, brother, James (Shirley) Goodrich of Duluth, MN, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy and Evansdale Amvets Post #31.
The Goodrich Family will be hosting a Celebration of Bob's Life at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Evansdale AmVets Post #31.
