Robert A. “Bobby” Alexander Stark

Robert A. "Bobby" Stark, 32, of Waterloo, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

He was born March 6, 1993, in San Diego, California, the son of Frederico de Jesus Salgado and Cindy Kae (Hoagland) Stark. He attended Waterloo West High School.

Bobby worked for many years as a cook at LJ's in Waterloo.

He liked to play his guitar and enjoyed woodcarving and making jewelry, amongst his many artistic talents. He also enjoyed listening to music and cooking. He was a good father who cared deeply for his two sons, Liam and Alister.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Liam Stark of Cedar Falls and Alister Stark of Waverly; his mother, Cindy Stark of Waterloo; a sister, Tristen (Paul Kammerer) Stark of Marion; two brothers, CJ (Fajeera) Stark and Ty Stark, both of Waterloo; his aunt, Cherly Hoagland of San Diego; two cousins, Taylor Hoagland and Haley Hoagland; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederico de Jesus Salgado; maternal grandparents, Pearl and Robert Hoagland; and his sister-in-law, Melissa Joines.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Locke on 4th, 1519 W. 4th Street, Waterloo. A Celebration of Life will continue immediately following the service at Fester's Pub, 324 E 4th St. in Waterloo.

Visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Locke on 4th.
