My condolences to the family. Phyllis was always such a neat lady and a long time friend of our family and a good friend of my mom’s (Dottie Plager). My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
I was truly blessed with having Phyl in my life from the moment she and Dottie came to my office to welcome me when I started at Landmark Commons. What a wonderful lady❤️❤️
What a beautiful lady with the kindest heart and smile. I knew Phyllis my whole life. She was a close and dear friend of my mom’s (Dottie Plager). My deepest sympathy to her family.
Thinking of your family during this difficult time. Phyllis was a truly special lady whose kindness and strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort.
Bruce and Tara, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother. I have heard many great stories from Tara about her relationship with her grandmother and how special she was. Reading about all of her great accomplishments and her life of service, made me think that she must have been the inspiration for both of you in all the good works and service you have both provided in your lives. I have no doubt that you and the rest of your family were one of the brightest spots in her life and I know she will continue to enjoy watching you from above. May your memories give you strength in helping to cope with her loss.
Randall and Bruce. Losing a parent is like losing a piece of you. Our deepest condolences for your loss of your mother Phyllis, she was an amazing human who did amazing things and she will be missed.
Bruce and Randy,
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. I did not know her, but I do know she raised the two of you into a couple of wonderful and well-rounded men. She is looking down on you both with pride and gratitude and a mother’s love. Remember that it is the accumulation of the everyday brushstrokes that create the ultimate portrait of who we are, to those that we touch in our lifetime. There will be some things that we won’t remember but many, many more that we will never forget.
I send my deepest sympathy to the family. Phyliss was loved by all of the family and will be missed. We are returning from Florida and will miss the service. Love to all. Stephen and Sheila Zager
What a lovely tribute! I have fond memories of Phyllis from my childhood working alongside my dad, David Dyer, at the Rensselaer Russell House. Seems like our family’s path was always crossing with your parents/grandparents. May you find strength as you treasure the memories.
Sending my condolences to Phyllis‘s family! I met Phyllis years ago at Central Christian Church, and her kindness and beauty was never forgotten I thought of her often over years🩷 I enjoyed sitting with her as a little girl during church. My grandmother and phyllis were good friends and I believe played cards together. My grandmother was EFFIE MATHER.
Bruce, DiAnn, and Family, Phyllis was an absolutely womenful person with a huge heart and deep faith. I loved time spent with her and wish I could be physically present with you Friday. Phyllis was kind, positive, intelligent, caring, insightful, and articulate. She brought light and love to so many people through her long life. She leaves a legacy of quality care for those in need and memories that all of us will carry forever. You are, and will continue to be, in my prayers
My wife, Linda and I have been lucky to be friends of the Zager family since the early 1960’s. What a nice group of people to share time with! Gene and I were great friends over all these years. We have seen each other’s children grow up … and now they have children of their own – what fun!
Phyllis was such a sweet lady and good friend. She even shared her birthday date with our oldest daughter.
If you didn’t know it, Phyllis made the best potato salad around! And she served it to me many times overs the years. Even calling me to come over to get a “take out” order to go. How very nice!
To all her family, we are sorry for your loss. Phyllis, Lew and Gene will all be missed. May they rest in peace … and smile as they know they made our lives better.
Phyllis was much like a second mom to me. I went to high school with Gene, and spent many days and evenings at the Zager home. Phyllis and Lew were generous and genuine. I saw her several times over the years, distance kept us apart in miles, but not in connection. Love to your spirit, Phyllis.
