Peggy R. Abben, 70, of Waterloo, died Friday April 18, 2003, at her home of cancer. Peggy was born March 1, 1933, in Portland, Iowa, the daughter of James and Cynthia (Walsh) Moore. She married Richard L. Abben, May 9, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She drove a school bus for the Waterloo Community School District until her retirement in 1985.

Peggy enjoyed spending her winters in Texas. She was also known for her baking. In her free time she enjoyed doing crafts, making jewelry and crocheting.

Peggy is survived by her husband; 3 sons Rick, Randy, and Darryn all of Waterloo; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother DeWayne Moore, and a sister Deone Jackson.
