Peggy Hoff, 72, of Waterloo, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born February 10, 1952, in Valley City, North Dakota, to Lowell and Kathleen (Rose) Wright.
On March 20, 1976, Peggy married William Hoff in Waterloo, Iowa, after meeting him in Mandan, North Dakota, while celebrating the successful completion of nurses' training. Together, they built a loving family, raising two daughters, Kristen and Jamie.
Peggy was a dedicated Registered Nurse for over 40 years, working at Saint Francis and Allen Hospitals in Waterloo. She touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her selflessness and devotion to those in her care.
Peggy loved her life and the people in it. She found great joy in being "Draama" (grandma) to Dylan, Ian, Mila and Ben. She encouraged creativity and curiosity and embraced every moment with enthusiasm. She cherished time spent with all her loved ones, putting many miles on "Peggy's VW" to visit family and friends.
Wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, friend, caregiver; Peggy's legacy of love, kindness and devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughters Kristen (Nathan) Quayle of Merrimac, WI, and Jamie (Andy) Krumrich of Apple Valley, MN; her grandchildren Dylan (18) and Ian (16) Quayle, and Amelia (9) and Benjamin (8) Krumrich, her siblings: Susan (Bill) Suominen, David Wright, Janet (Tim) Schilling, Judy Davis, and Jim (Diana) Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was met in Heaven by her parents and her brother-in-law, Dwight Davis.
A Memorial gathering will take place Monday, November 25, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave from 1-2:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 PM at Locke at Tower Park. Memorials may be directed to Mayo Clinic Cancer Center.
