Paul Urich

Paul E. Urich, 88 of Waterloo, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital, Waterloo. He was born July 23, 1933, in Webster City, Iowa, son of John W. and Elva Leola Stillwell Urich.

He graduated from East High School and later Hawkeye Community College. Paul married LaVonne I. "Bonnie" Corwin; they later divorced.

He worked at John Deere as a mechanic for 25 years, retiring July 31, 1998. Paul enjoyed fishing, participating in bowling leagues and was a big NASCAR fan (Dale Earnhardt).

He is survived by his four daughters: Robin Urich (Scott), Teresa (Lee Cummings) Urich, Monica Urich (Chris), and Delilah (Todd) Henry, all of Waterloo; stepson, Rick (Debi) Corwin of Evansdale; nine grandchildren: Mike, Tracey, Julie, Kiley, Jesse, Jason, Josh, Jake, and John (deceased); fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and ten stepchildren.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, John and two brothers, Wayne and John Urich.

Memorial Services are 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at River's Edge Christian Church in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the family.
