Pam A. “Babe” Cordes, 57, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at her home Saturday, November 1, 2014.

Pamela Ann Myers was born February 24, 1957, in Waterloo, the daughter of Johnny and Marlene Neelans Myers. She grew up in Waterloo and graduated from Central High School in 1976.

She married Kim Cordes on November 26,1976, in Waterloo at the First Congregational Church.

Pam was proud of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She took pride in her house and enjoyed decorating and even painting. She loved animals, enjoyed music and was passionate about her Minnesota Vikings and Viking Purple. Pam was a kind-hearted, bubbly, and loving person.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Brad and his wife Emily and Dan, all of Waterloo; four grandchildren: Gaige, Chloe, Ben and Michael; her stepfather, Gary Simmerman; sister, Tammy Gram; two brothers, Ron Simmerman and Kenny Simmerman and his wife Kristi; sister-in-law, Jeanne Lueders and her husband John; and special friends, Kathy & Brad Carpenter, all of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Marlene Simmerman; her father; grandparents; and brother, John Myers.
