Norma Jean Merriau, 95, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center, Saturday, March 7, 2015.

She was born April 23, 1919, in Waterloo, the daughter of Elmer and Florence Prideaux Heskett. She married Paul L. Merriau June 10, 1951 in Waterloo, he died April 4, 1990.

Norma graduated from East High School in 1937 and had worked at Walker Shoe Store and Bachtell & Sinnott Insurance Agency.

She enjoyed being active in her church, PEO, and Elklets. She loved her family, her church and her Bridge, Bingo and solitaire.

Norma is survived by: two daughters Mary (Dan) Hasty of Bettendorf, IA and Peg (Brian) Harmon of Cedar Rapids, IA; three grandchildren: Amy (Nick) Hedlund of Marion; Cari (Curt) Long of Ankeny; Joshua (Jennifer) Hasty of Davenport; and five great grandchildren: Ben and Conner Hedlund; Marley and Piper Long; Brecken Hasty.

She was preceded in death by: her parents and husband.
