Mitchell G. Hoffman, 19 of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died at his home on Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Mitchell Glen Hoffman was born on June 16, 1994 in Waco, Texas, the son of Christopher G. and Vicky L. Taylor Hoffman.

Mitchell attended River Hills in Cedar Falls and participated in the local Special Olympics. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Mitchell was extremely outgoing and led a very active social life.

He is survived by his parents Chris and Vicky, brother Tristan and sister Meredith, all of Waterloo; maternal grandmother Marie Taylor of Oxford, Iowa; paternal grandparents Glen and Celeste Hoffman of Dunkerton, Iowa; a large, extended family; his teachers and a wide circle of friends.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Taylor.
