Mary C. Isaacson, 86, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, was welcomed into the loving presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 24, 2026, while under the compassionate care of Unity Hospice.
Mary was born on November 27, 1939, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Charles Robert Garrick and M.Margaret (McGrane) Garrick. Mary graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Waterloo. She married Donald Isaacson on June 5, 1965.
Mary, a devoted follower of Jesus, loved the Lord and found great joy in sharing His love with others. Her greatest desire was that everyone would come to know Christ and experience the gift of salvation. She faithfully prayed for her family, friends, and neighbors hoping that others would find the same peace and hope she had in her faith.
Mary cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. Children brought immense joy to her life, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Mary greatly valued relationships and enjoyed gathering with family, dear friends, and loved ones, especially for games, laughter, and meaningful fellowship.
Throughout her life, Mary held various positions centered on serving others. Whether through her work or hospitality she sought to make people feel welcome and valued wherever they were. Her generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Isaacson, of Green Bay, WI; daughter Dawn Przekurat of Buffalo, MN; granddaughters Gabrielle Przekurat of Hopkins, MN and Isabelle Przekurat of Charlotte, NC; her sisters Rita (Don) Henderson of Waterloo and Barb Lucas of Iowa City, and many other family and friends. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior. We look forward to the day we will see her again.
A memorial Celebration of Life Open House will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 1-3 pm, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lockefuneralservices.com.
