Mary Beth O'Brien, 77 of Waterloo, died at her home on Friday, December 20, 2024, with family and friends present. She was born August 16, 1947, in Waterloo, daughter of Harvey J. and Mary B. "Betty" (Lamm) O'Brien. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School.

She is survived by her special friend, Fran Wehrle of Waterloo; her children, Derek (Jackie Kelley) Gibson, John (Kelly) Gibson, Teresa Nelson, and Terri Gest; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; his children, Marcus (Amanda) Wehrle and Meghan (Dustin) Schildgen; and five grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Narelle) O'Brien; her sister, Kathleen (Scott) O'Brien-Lyon; and brother-in-law, Gene Galasso.

Mary Beth is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Patricia Galasso.
