Marshal Jamell Tolbert

Marshal Jamell Tolbert, precious 8-month baby boy, earned his angel wings on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Marshal was born on September 29, 2022, in Waterloo, Iowa, to his parents Jamell Tolbert and Melanie Gearhart. From the moment he entered this world, he had a smile on his face and that never stopped. As he grew bigger, he became extremely fond of his big brother CJ, loving watching him play.

Although Marshal's time on earth was short, he left a huge imprint on this world. Many hearts are broken but the love and memories shared will keep Marshal's light shining.

He is survived by his parents of Washburn; brother CJ Tolbert; grandparents Heidi Gearhart of Waterloo, Chris Gearhart (Melissa Anderson) of Washburn, Jenny Graves, and Lee Tolbert II, both of Waterloo; great-grandparents Rick and Pat Timmerman of Colo, IA, Marty and Kathy Gearhart of Houston, TX and Gail and Lee Tolbert Sr., of Waterloo; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life for Marshal will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Locke at Tower park, 4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo.
