Marlene E. Sheronick, 91, of Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, and formerly of Hudson, Iowa, died at Parkview Manor on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Marlene was born on February 3, 1923 in Waterloo, the daughter of William and Mary Miller Klingaman.

She graduated from West High School in 1940.

Marlene married Edward Sheronick on May 31, 1947 in Waterloo. He died April 18, 2012.

She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Black Hawk Mutual Insurance Co. for 20 years retiring in 1985.

Marlene volunteered at the Hudson Community Center serving senior meals. She enjoyed going to garage sales, baking, and traveling with Ed to visit relatives in their motor home. She enjoyed the companionship of Katie, her little dog.
She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews; and close friends, Russ and Tonya McGlaughlin of Hudson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Bush, and brothers Carl, Guy, Harold, Charles, Verl and Robert Klingaman.
