Marjory Mae Stubberud

Marjory Mae Stubberud, 71, of Evansdale, died on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.

Marjory was born on September 23, 1952, in Waterloo, daughter of George Sr. and Maxine Ritner Vaughn.

She married Steven Stubberud on June 7, 1980, in Waterloo.

She was a homemaker in her own home for years. Later Marjory worked as a CNA for in home healthcare.

She had attended Salvation Army services and enjoyed camping, crocheting, crossword puzzles and Sudoku games. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Marjory is survived by her husband, Steven Stubberud Sr., Evansdale; son, Steven Stubberud Jr., Waterloo; son, Ronald (Michelle) Niedert, Elgin, OK; daughter, Terri (Sean) Harn, Madelia, MN; son, Benjamin Stubberud, Waterloo; 11 grandchildren, Jaime, Ashley, Andrew, TJ, Brandon, Shea, Taber Lee, Kylee, Kayla, Molly, and Zachary; several great grandchildren; and three sisters, Sheryl Sorenson, Waukon; Bonnie (Charlie) Back, Waterloo, and Carol (Stanley) Wood, Waterloo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Vaughn Jr.; step-daughter, Becky Tix; and best friend, Carol Hayden.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Locke on 4th, Waterloo with visitation for an hour prior to services. Burial will be 10:00 AM on Saturday in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.
