Marilyn and Al were one of my most favorite couples in the world. Now they are together again. The two of them will be in my memories forever.

  3. Karen Eicher says:

I´ve been thinking of you all (especially John and Gina, Mark and Kristi, but also Doris, Carol and Harry, Benton and Alana … ) since hearing of Marilyn´s death. I think of the friends in the area, too, who will miss her wonderful influence in the meetings. I´m glad she was in my life as far back as I can remember, and right up until a year ago when I was with her at home. She will be resting now, I think, and be so thankful for every right choice she made. I would liked to have been at the funeral, but was glad I could watch it from Kyiv.

  12. Carmen Christian Gutmann says:

So sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. We shared a birthday and usually shared a phone call on July 11. Alan was my cousin – so sorry they are both gone.

  13. Marilyn Haight says:

Memories of Marilyn and Alan on the farm remind me of how welcoming she was when our paths crossed. I especially remember when my dad, Lee Haight, called and asked me to drive his grain truck to their farm. I recently had my license, yet was short enough I could not fully push in the clutch unless I leaned left, and also stretch my right arm to shift. My brother Rich helped – I did the clutch, said “shift” and Rich took it to the next gear. Never going very fast for that one mile. Marilyn came out and generously offered a cool drink when we arrived.

  14. Jan Matthias says:

    Dear friends,
My utmost sympathy to you and your families. I only learned to know Marilyn while we were both residents at the Denver Sunset Home and while there she was so gracious, stopping at my table in the dining room to visit. Later she was too ill to come to the dining room, but always loved the fresh air with her window open. Happy to have also met Jon’s wife, Ginna, and one day a couple of the grandchildren were visiting – I’m sure Marilyn was so happy to see them too. May the Lord bless you with His comfort, love, and peace. Sincerely, Jan Matthias

  15. Ginny Weber says:

Peace be upon this family. Marilyn was a beautiful soul, who walked quietly upon the earth.

  16. Roger and Sue Wisecup says:

Another Icon is gone from us. We have appreciated the Walker home through the years from July 4th fun as a boy to seeing the care they had for my elderly parents in their meeting. We will miss the visitation because of being out of the country but our thoughts are with the family and friends in Waterloo.

  17. Lynn Rossow says:

Marilyn was a very kind person. If a person was having a bad day, she would have something encouraging to say. She was also a person that could remember people’s birthdays, anniversary and more. Knew both her and Alan. They were both very special people. Will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family in their loss. Will miss her wisdom and care for others.

  18. Irina says:

Many good memories are coming to me, when I’m thinking of Marilyn. Her kind spirit and words of wisdom shared every-time I was with her! I will miss her much! Love and hugs to her family.

  19. Jon crisman says:

What an exceptional lady. I worked with for many years and she was one of the finest I’ve ever known. My memories of her and Allen will last the rest of my life. Now she is joining him.
