Lois M. Adams, 69, of Waterloo, formerly of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, died at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Sunday, January 11, 2009, of natural causes.

She was born December 24, 1939 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, daughter of Albert and Isabelle Celius Carpenter. Lois married Richard Adams September 5, 1956, in LaCrosse.

She worked as a Nurses Aide at Allen Hospital and Friendship Village and later worked in food service at the Waterloo Public School System, retiring in 2003.

Lois is survived by her husband Richard, son Barry, daughter Becky Starkey and her husband Darrell, all of Waterloo, son Keith of Cedar Falls, and daughter LaNette Adams of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Nine grandchildren: Amy Adams, Rob Leavell, Brian Adams, Kevin Adams, Rachel Leavell, Kimi Adams, Kacey Adams, Kara Adams, and Charles Adams and nine great grandchildren. One sister Joan Guentz and her husband Jerry of LaCresent, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
