Lillian Jackson, 79, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, while a patient at MercyOne Waterloo. Lillian was born on February 14, 1945, in Panther Burn, MS, the daughter of Charlie and Esther Jackson. She worked for John Deere Waterloo Foundry Operations where she retired in 1996.

Lillian loved to fish, and she loved to visit local casinos. She cherished the moments she had with her siblings, and she was proud to be an independent woman. Lillian was set in her ways, and when she spoke her mind, she said what she meant. And, as a liberal Democrat, she wasn't afraid to talk politics with you.

Lillian is survived by her sisters Mary Menton of Waterloo and Olivia Jackson of Sioux City, brother Ira Golden of Long Beach, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Draper, Willie Mae Kyles, Doris Sanders and Thelma Cain, and brothers Grant Jackson, Freddie Jackson, James Jackson, and Curtis Miller.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Faith Temple Baptist Church, 234 South Hackett Road, Waterloo with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
