Kimberly Sue Pressley

Kimberly Sue "Kim" Pressley, 61, of Waterloo, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her home. She was born on September 18, 1961, the daughter of Donald Pettit and Evelyn Nielsen Pettit. She graduated with an Associates Degree from the Hawkeye Institute of Technology. Kim worked as a machinist for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works.

As the oldest of six children, Kim, was the family caregiver. She put the needs of others ahead of herself. She had a unique, fun sense of style and she loved children and animals, especially dolphins. Kim was the godmother for several nieces and nephews, and she was the beloved Aunt Kim to all.

Kim is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Jon Eatman) Pressley of Waterloo; her mother, Evelyn Pettit of Waterloo; her siblings, Craig (Kara) Pettit, Scott Pettit, William Pettit, and Brad (Mary) Pettit, all of Waterloo, and Lisa Graveman of Independence; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Donald Pettit; sister-in-law, Lela Pettit and her beloved dog, Scrappy Doo.

A Memorial Service for Kim will be Monday, November 14, 2022, at 4 PM at Locke on 4th, 1519 W. 4th Street, Waterloo, where the family will greet friends for an hour prior to the memorial service.
