Kimberly Kay Eide, age 50, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a stroke.

Kimberly was born November 12, 1962, in Waterloo to William C. and Sandra Peverill Eide. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1981 from the special education program. Kimberly was employed at Swift and Co. for 20 years.

Everyone who knew her, adored her and her love for music, like the rock group Kiss. Kimberly personally knew Bret Michaels from childhood. Kimberly was a bit shy but she loved to laugh and giggle with her cousins. She was one to sit back and quietly observe others. She also had a gift for “reading” people. Kimberly will be missed by everyone who knew her including her loving cat of 15 years, Sammie.

Kimberly is survived by her father William Eide, her sister Dawn Reeves, and nieces Tessa Reeves and Marley Reeves, all of Waterloo. She is also survived by two great-nieces: Emilee Steimel and Denaya Williams; four great-nephews: Dylan and Joel Steimel, Rashaun Burkett and Javon Reeves, all of Waterloo; as well as several aunts and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother and brother Michael Eide.
