Kevin Edward Bickford, 60, of Hudson, Iowa, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 30, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 24, 1964, in Billerica, Massachusetts, Kevin was the beloved son of Charles ("Charlie") E. Bickford Jr. and Carol A. Bickford (Perkins). From a young age, Kevin had a passion for cars. By the age of 16, he had already begun his lifelong career as a skilled body man, dedicating himself to his craft with a deep pride and tireless work ethic.
Kevin was known for his quick wit, deep love for rock music, especially AC/DC and his unwavering loyalty to Boston sports teams. Whether it was the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, or Celtics, you could count on Kevin to be watching, cheering, and likely offering his candid commentary in his unmistakable Boston accent.
Above all, Kevin was a devoted father to his son, Dalton (Leslie) Bickford of Tiffin, Iowa, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his two brothers, Ken Bickford and Mark Bickford, both of Billerica, Massachusetts.
Kevin's personality was larger than life. He was the kind of man who was easy to spot in a crowd, often because you could hear his Boston accent over everyone else's. His presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at the Federal Pub, 317 5th St, in Hudson from 12:00 – 3:00 on Saturday, May 10th. Please direct all memorials in Kevin's name to the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. The family encourages you to share a memory of Kevin, raise a glass, or turn up the volume on some classic AC/DC in his honor.
