Ken Briscoe, 84, of Waterloo, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

He was born on November 11, 1941, in La Harpe, IL, son of Albert Francis and Bertha Marie Ferguson Briscoe. Ken graduated from high school in 1959 in Colusa, IL.

He worked for Gehl Company as a District Sales Representative in West Bend, WI. Then, Dumont Implement in Sales until his retirement.

Ken was an avid Ohio State fan. He enjoyed attending car shows with his wife Jane. He was also a member of the Masons of Illinois for many years.

Ken is survived by his wife Jane Briscoe of Waterloo; son Jason (Nikki) Briscoe; daughter Debra (Ralph) Schaad; 3 step-children, Amy (Phil) Wallace, Ann Knight and fiancé Jeff Jacobi and Thomas (Chenoa) Hansen; 4 grandchildren: Betsy Briscoe, Brody Briscoe and fiancée Isabella Leeth, Andrew (Susana) Schaad and Alexa Schaad; 3 great grandsons: Kaylum Briscoe, Owen and Calvin Schaad; 3 step-grandchildren: Tyler (Skylar) Smith, Mya Rook and Sadie Rook; a step-great granddaughter Kinsley Stanley and his brother Ron (Pat) Briscoe.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Marilyn Briscoe; daughter Melinda Briscoe and brother Don Briscoe.

    I met Kenny at the first car show I ever attended with my ‘32 Ford. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and it must have shown.
    Along came Kenny with that big personality of his. That show was many years and many car shows ago. When he married Jane, she became such a good friend to me also.

    I was a caregiver of Ken’s for almost two years. I enjoyed my time with him. Such a kind hearted person with a bubbly personality! I will miss you dearly. My condolences to Jane and the rest of his family.

    I worked with Ken when he was the District Sales Manager for Gehl Conpany, I traveled with Ken visiting his dealers and working indoor and outdoor Farm Shows. Ken’s dealers always respected him. Ken enjoyed talking about his old car he showed at car shows. He had many funny stories he shared with all his coworkers, Rest in Peace.
