Kathy Moore, 73, of Waterloo, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born August 11, 1950, in Waterloo, the daughter of Clyde and Marcella (Miller) Sink. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1968.

Kathy married Raymond H. "Ray" Moore on March 22, 1969, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterloo.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and worked in the learning center at Blessed Sacrament School. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden there and taking in warm weather on the porch. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ray Moore of Waterloo; three daughters, Marjorie (Ryan) Schaake of Omaha, Stephanie Moore of Waterloo, and Rebecca (Matthew) Willer of Marion; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Lexus), Carson (Lizzy), Alex (Megan), Drew, Ben, Maddox, and Ella; one great-grandchild, Mack; a brother, David Sink of Waterloo; and three sisters, Susan (Dave) Douglas of Waterloo, Barb (Jim) Burns of Waterloo, and Jody (Jim) Sessions of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Tom, Jim, Dan, and Joe Sink; two sisters, Carol Goodrich and Betsy McDougall; two infant siblings, Jerry and Rosemary Sink; and Ray's parents, Ronald and Marjorie Moore.
