Kathryn Z. Lichty, 95 of Waterloo, died March 4, 2011 at her home.

She was born February 29, 1916 in Waterloo, daughter of Joseph and Mara Zegarac. Katie graduated from East High School.

She married Max B. Lichty on September 24, 1937. He died May 22, 1996.

She was a homemaker for several years and was a member of the Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, Waterloo.

Katie is survived by her daughter, Carol Harris of Waterloo. Grandchildren Matthew (Kristi) Harris and Jenny (Chad) Hagarty. Great-grandchildren Chloe, Sylvie, Braden and Blake.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son: Melvin LIchty, Brothers: Nick, Daniel, Mike and Steve Zegarac. One sister: Anne Penly
