Kathleen Sue Hemsath, 75, of Waterloo, passed away at her residence on March 19, 2025.

Kathy was born on October 27, 1949, in Waterloo, to Cecil W. and Lucille E. (Pierce) Hemsath. She graduated from Waterloo East High in 1968 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in business management and finance and later obtained her Master of Business Administration in business administration and management. Kathy spent her career working in customer service as a manager for Weyerhaeuser and International Paper, Menasha Packaging, and Georgia-Pacific, and as an accountant for Viking Pump. She volunteered for Waterloo Community Schools in Partners in Education and local Relay for Life Events.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy is survived by her cousins, extended family, and friends.

Private family burial took place at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.

Locke at Tower Park is serving the family.
