Kathleen “Jane” Abbott 82, of Waterloo, died Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center in Shell Rock of natural causes.

Kathleen was born May 18, 1932 in Parkersburg, the daughter of Mert and Mabel (Gruver) Card. She married Arnie D. Abbott on November 18, 1950, he preceded her in death in 1995. Kathleen was a long time member of Linden United Methodist Church.

She is survived by: two daughters, DeAnn Huffman of Waverly, and Cynthia (Kenton) Zelle of Hudson; one son, Michael (Debra) Abbott of Florida; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene (Darryl) Rients of Parkersburg and Dorothy Carr of Evansdale; one brother, Don Card of Evansdale.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Huffman; two brothers, Lavern & Lloyd Card; and one sister, Beverly Card.
