Justin Allen Patten, 34, of Waverly, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, September 5, 2026. He was born June 13, 1992, in Burlington, the son of Timothy Patten and Jennifer (Briggs) Hahn.
Justin was proud of his work as a maintenance technician at Omega Cabinets in Waterloo. He was a good person with a big heart, and an infectious laugh and smile. Justin was loyal to his family and friends who were very important to him, and he especially loved children. Physical fitness was also a big part of Justin’s life, as you could tell by his appearance.
He is survived by his parents, Tim (Kimberly) Patten of Sharpsburg, Ga, and Jennifer Hahn of Kill Devil Hills, Nc, his son Jackson and Jackson’s mother Samantha Strange, his siblings: Kelly (Leo) Wilson of Franklin, Ga, Jessica (Greg) Carroll of Franklin, Ga, Brittney Patten of Farmington, Nm, Taylor Hahn of Waterloo, Emma Hahn of Kill Devil Hills, Nc, Jessica Hahn of Ankeny, Curtis West of Villa Rica, Ga, Eric West of Carrollton, Ga, Cameron Patten of Sharpsburg, Ga, CJ Stark of Waterloo, and Ty Stark of Waterloo, paternal grandparents Jim (Mary) Patten of Bowdon, Ga, uncles: David (Erika) Patten’ of Cape Coral, Fl, and John Patten of Bowdon, Ga, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Barbara Briggs, stepmother Connie Patten, and sister-in-law Melissa Joines. Family directed celebrations of life will be held at a later date both in Waterloo and Georgia.

Justin’s passing is just so heartbreaking I am so very sorry. He touched so many lives, including my family’s many memories. That smile will be forever etched in my mind. Sending all the Angels to wrap their wings around all the family and friends especially his parents your son will always be in my heart
