Joni E Thomas, 52, of Waterloo, died at Allen Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

Joni Ellen Thomas was born August 23, 1956 in Waterloo, the daughter of Henry and Vivian Lindsay Thomas.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1974. Joni had worked at Exceptional Persons and Goodwill Industries.

Joni loved to sing Karaoke and spend time with family and friends. She was a great aunt who thoroughly enjoyed being around her niece and nephews. Some of her favorite things to do were simple craft projects and cooking.

She is survived by her father Henry Thomas and brother Jeff Thomas and his wife Judy, all of Cedar Falls. Joni is also survived by nephew Todd (Nicole) Thomas and their children: Noel, Natalie and Ella; niece Bethany (Matt) Toby; and nephew Tim Thomas.

Joni is preceded in death by her mother.
