Jill Elizabeth Kerr

Jill E. Kerr, 80, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, April 10, 2023, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls.

She was born on October 29, 1942, in Waterloo, daughter of James and Catherine Peters Crawford.

Jill graduated from West High School and attended Hawkeye Community College.

She married Thomas Kerr on June 22, 1963, in Waterloo; he died April 27, 2014.

She worked in interior decorating for JC Penney. Many evenings Jill packed her carpet and drapery samples and went to customers' homes to help with decorating plans.

She enjoyed attending the Tulip Festival in Pella and her monthly Card Club. Jill was a hard worker and enjoyed sitting outside to unwind from the day and relax.

She is survived by her sons, Tom (Lynette) Kerr Jr. of Waterloo and Dan (Rebecca) Kerr of DeWitt; 7 grandchildren: Spencer Kerr, Sydney (Tyler) Oswald, Isabelle Kerr, Beth Neuhaus and Kayla, Emily, Kendra and Tabby Kerr; and great grandchildren, Angel and Gina.

Jill is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tim Kerr; and a sister, Marsha Schakey.

Funeral Services: 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for one hour before services at the funeral home.
