She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Waterloo since 1966, where she was a member of the Ladies’ Guild.
Jean enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, embroidery, baking, and walking. She was very social and willing to share her harvest with family and friends. She always had a high school or college sporting event on her radio depending what was in season. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. No matter what happened that day, a phone call or a visit from family would put a smile on her face.

We were so very sorry to read of Jean’s passing. She and you, her children, were such a large part of our Denver life. We offer sincere condolences. Love, Charlie and Terry
I met Jean for the first time at Dennis and Janet’s wedding. She was a beautiful, sweet, positive woman. Her support and love for family was written on her face and in her demeanor. Even many years later, at Joe’s graduation party, she greeted me with a smile, beaming with pride for her daughter and grandson. Our hearts are heavy for her family and friends as they adjust to life without her sunshine, but know that there is celebration in Heaven at her arrival. She may be gone from this earth, but her glow remains, both here, in the hearts of those who loved her, and in Heaven.
