Jean B. Klinefelter, 90, of Friendship Village, died there Friday, August 17, 2007.

Jean was born March 2, 1917 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Mary (Sibert) Klinefelter. She graduated from Waterloo West High School and attended Gates Business School.

Jean worked as a bookkeeper for Watkins Coal and Lumber and then for Young Lumber when the bought the business. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Jean is survived by her brother John Klinefelter and his wife Marion of Waterloo as nieces and nephews: Scott Klinefelter, Tim Klinefelter, and Linda and Nelson McCarty and their children Matthew, Jon, and Erin; and Erin’s daughters Bella and Luna.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and sister Helen Klinefelter.
