Janet Irene Irene Zilk

Janet Irene Zilk, 74, of Waterloo, died on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born on May 16, 1950 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of John and Gladys (Griffith) Brown. She attended Waterloo East High School.

Janet married Michael Zilk, February 9, 1973, they later divorced.

She was a volunteer at the local schools, scouting organizations, and at the Navy Wives Club.

Janet is survived by: daughter, Maranda Zilk of Waterloo; son, Danael Zilk of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Alana Corwin and Thomas Corwin; two sisters, Malinda (Larry) Hunt of Lamot, and Shirley Koler of Waterloo.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Cory Brown.

No services are planned.

Inurnment will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum.
